Hello, there! Is this fair to say, as a general rule??:

In correct answer choices to Justify question stems, the conclusion of the argument should be the necessary condition in the answer choice and (generally) the premise [in the argument that you are trying to "connect" it to] should be the sufficient condition.

I'm just working to make sure I grasp this concept, and it's helpful to put rules/concepts into my own works. FYI, I was doing #25 in JUNE 2013, LR Section 1 when I thought about framing it in this way, in case that's helpful for context.

Thanks!

Hi Angel,

Yes, what you have written is basically a close restatement of the Justify Formula (page 321-322 of the 2016 LRB) so that works fine as a general rule. The gist is that if you add the correct answer to the premises, it will produce the conclusion of the argument.

Good work!
