Hi,

When there are two questions for one stimulus, I am often thrown off and already ready to move on to another stimulus. I have a pattern of choosing an incorrect answer choice for the second question. Later, I understand the question when looking over the section, but I continue to constantly need to refocus my attention on the second question no matter the question type or difficulty of the stimulus. Is there a strategy to help me to attack the second question with the same focus I have on the first question in these dual questions for one stimulus?

Thank you for your consideration, and thank you for having this forum available - has been an invaluable source of strategy information for me.

Hi,

Thanks very much for your kind words about our forum. I'm glad to hear that you hove found it helpful.

If you happen to encounter a stimulus with two questions, you might consider quickly reading through the stimulus again before attacking the second question. As you do so, cover up the first question and answer choices so that you are not distracted. And don't forget to prephrase the answer whenever possible before considering the choices.

For what it's worth, encountering a stimulus with two questions has become increasingly rare, so if recent years are any indication, you are unlikely to run into one.

I hope that's helpful! Please let me know whether this is clear--thanks!

Hi,

I was hoping it was true that there is less of a chance that the two question format would be on an upcoming test. I have not tried re-reading the stimulus entirely. Doing that along with prephrasing would probably have saved me a lot of time.

Thank you for the advice.
