How to "Personalize the Argument"?

Hello! I am a bit confused about what it means to "personalize the argument" in strengthen questions (reference: p. 317 of the 2018 Powerscore Logical Reasoning book). I would appreciate any clarification on this concept!

Personalizing an argument means that you try to read it in a way that allows you to see how you feel about what is being said, or how you would react in that sort of situation. It is different from passive reading, where you just read words off a page and look for an answer. The more involved you make your perspective about an argument, generally the easier time you have figuring out the strengths and weaknesses of the answers.
