Hi, how do we get to the answer E? I can only eliminate A and D because they don't have L in 4th place.

Hi lemonade42!

You are right to eliminate answer choices (A) and (D), since they violate the rule that L gives the fourth presentation.

Regarding answer choice (B), this answer choice would violate the rule that "Exactly two of the presentations are in the same language as each other." We already know from the final rule that these presentations in the same language as one another are in Japanese. Answer choice (B) asks us to suppose the order is N, O, P, L, S. That order tells us that presentations would be in the following languages:

J, F/J, F/J, M/F, J
That is problematic, however. The F/Js can't be J, because we know that the only duplication is that one language--J--occurs twice. And the F/Js can't be F either, because this would violate the rule that exactly two of the presentations are in the same language as each other.

Regarding answer choice (C), note where S is. S gives one of the presentations in Japanese, which means S is on the first or last day.
