I set up my rules and made my set up. I came up with HMJLKF. According to my board 5 letters are before F. 5 isnt even in the answer choices. How do I go about tackling a question like this?

Hi rdee,

We are looking for a minimum here. We want to know what's the fewest number of people who could be before F. We know both L and K are before F. That's two students at minimum who are before F. We could have more before F, however, we just need to have those two.

Hope that helps!

rdee81,

Rachael pointed out that K and L both have to be before F. That's at least two people.
