Hello,

I am presently going through LR passage#3 for Prep test #52 and on question 15 it states 'Item Removed From Scoring'.

what would cause a question to be removed from scoring? my curiosity was peaked and won't stopped until the question is asked.

thank you,

Hello, and thanks for the question! A question can be removed from scoring if it was determined to have more than one possible correct answer or if there are reasons why the "correct" answer isn't really correct. It could also be removed from scoring if LSAC thought it contained bias of some sort. There are probably other reasons too. The LSAT-makers do a lot of research and test out the questions before the actual test, but they do sometimes make mistakes or come up with questions that aren't as high quality. Even they are human. :)

Thank you Claire, that was my assumption, but I wanted to see if there was any other possible scenarios out there.
