Hello, I took the course and purchased all the bibles and almost exhausted all the material available to me. With Reading Comp I sometimes miss the MP questions and would like to know what aspects of viewstamp would lead me to correctly identify the main point. I missed a questions about a researchers in a study but I didn't even know that they were supposed to be in the main point being that they were only mentioned in two paragraphs and I know they main point must reflect every paragraph. Thank you

Hey JK,

Thanks for your message. In the Reading Comp section you will often find that the main point from your viewstamp analysis does not perfectly match the right answer to a Main Point question. As such, once you've prephrased the main idea, you should go through the answer choices, initially looking only for accuracy. Once you have eliminated the clear losers, consider the contender answer choices that remain, selecting the one that best covers the passage as a whole. (Incidentally, the main point, as you alluded to, does not necessarily have to be referred to in every paragraph).

I hope that's helpful! Please let me know--thanks!

~Steve
