In reading comprehension section, I usually tend to miss global reference questions. At the same time, I can comfortable identify the structure of the passage and identify the appropriate title. What could be the common cause for this problem? What suggestions would you have for someone in this situation?

Thank you.

Hello!

For students who are missing a lot of global reference questions, I recommend really focusing on the VIEWSTAMP approach when reading the passage the first time. This should allow you to really focus on the key pieces of information that will help you answer global reference questions. If you haven't been pre-phrasing before reading the answer choices, that may also help keep you from getting distracted by an attractive (but incorrect) answer. Let me know whether this helps!
