The experimental LG were really easy. I don't remember any specifics, but three were so easy (the the 4th only slightly harder) I was sure they weren't real.

I'm considering retaking my LSAT for the February exam. Is powerscore effective? I hear mixed reviews for it. I took the Princeton Review and it seems like I did not learn S**T. Please help. :-?

Broo- I took the full length online and it helped me a lot. Its really how much work you put in but at the same time they have all the techniques that will help you succeed. I plan on re-taking it as well, that way I can maximize my score.

Powerscore- I a bit shaken in terms of the test today. That was a lot harder than all of the practice tests I took. What's some advice from you guys to rebuild confidence and plan for the february test? Obviously speculative, but what would the scale or curve be like? It seems people agree that this one was a beast.

Will: Yes the one with the offices was the actual LG section. My experimental was RC, comparative passages were really hard.

In general I thought LG1 and LR2 were very hard and I'm not confident it went my way today,

Thanks for the response!

Question, which full online do you refer to?

Here's the link for the live online course- full length 12 lectures.
https://www.powerscore.com/lsat/live-online/

However, if you feel like you understand the basics you may want to try the advance logic games and advanced logical reasoning. I advise you have a good amount of free time to do a prep course that way you maximize prep time. I am a full time student, waiter, internship and participate in a sport so it was hard to really do all the prep that I needed to get into the high 160's hence why I am taking it again in February. Also if theres a live ( in person) class, that would probably even more beneficial. Just keep up with the work and do a ton of practice tests!

I'm trying to register online but it seems to not let me. :( That is pretty pricey. I wonder if there's payment plans.

Hey broo! We do have payment plans! You'll just have to give us a call on Monday at (800) 545-1750 to set it up. Anyone who answers can help you out, and answer any questions you might have as well :)

In the meantime, if you want to get a better sense of what the course is like, you can actually watch the entire Lesson 1 Logical Reasoning portion for free on our website! If you go to https://www.powerscore.com/lsat/live-online/ and look at the right-hand sidebar you'll see a link to preview the first lesson of the course—check it out in the next day or so if you've got some time. I think it'll give you a really good idea of how the class works and the teaching style you'll experience (keep in mind that the actual class is live, of course, while this is just an archived recording...the same as you'll get for each of the lessons in your own course).

And please don't hesitate to contact me directly if you have additional questions! I'm always happy to help (especially someone who's had a bad experience elsewhere; I probably have a conversation like that with someone at least three or four times a week, so I'm beyond sympathetic).

And ddion thanks for the kind words and I'm really glad you enjoyed the class! And since you get access to all of the resources for two test periods, you'll still have all of your recordings and Online Student Center content through the February LSAT!

Jon Denning wrote:Alright guys, here's an early update based on what I've heard so far:

Real Logic Games: Game 1 was about 6 pieces in 6 times (morning and afternoon); Game 2 was about 8 ceramic pots into 6 spots (sounds like a Linear Game); Game 3 was about 4 employees and their preferences on where to work among 4 offices/companies (from initial reports this sounds a lot like a Pattern Game, which I have provided some more info on in the post above); Game 4 was about 3 committees where each committee has 3 positions (President, Secretary, Treasurer).

Games 3 and 4 have both caused quite a ruckus online, as people are reporting a fair amount of difficulty with both.

Real Reading Comp (not necessarily in order): African American Theater and the Federal Theater Project (4-year program); Punishing companies for fraudulent activities; Comparative reading about Feminist literature (Passage A) and the position of women in Ancient Rome under Augustus (Passage B); Lamarck and Evolution/Inheritance, RNA/DNA.

General consensus that the Comparative passage was the toughest, which is somewhat unusual (comparative tends to be on the easier side on most LSATs).

Real Logical Reasoning (this is notoriously harder to nail down, since there are so many more questions in LR than there are games or passages in the other sections): Amber (lots of complaints about this question), honeybees, cooked foods, psychic powers, dolphins and seals, ocean vessels, and lemurs with covered versus partially-covered forest overhead (several complaints on this one, too). Seems one section was 25 questions and the other was 26.

On the experimental side, there's less info floating around at this point, but I've heard from a few sources that an experimental RC passage was on a Mexican Photographer.

So let's hear it! How did it go for you? What did you see, and how closely does it conform to the info above?

So I took the LSAT in a location outside of the united States. Is the LSAT different between the one given in France vs us?

Because I had ONE RC comp section but it didn't contain any of the passages listed. I had one on jazz, fundamentalist procedure, the chemical s in laundry detergent, and something about anecdotes vs science procedure for paranormal phenomena. My rc was also very hard.. Harder.than nomal.

I then had TWO LG sections which I thought were both pretty easy (finished with time to spare ). One had pretty much all linear games if I remember. Some of them were: grouping games about books to buy, grouping about classes to take in two semesfers, linear about a parade. Grouping linear about employes in an office getting security clearance, police officers working on certain days of the week. Those are what I can remember BUT I definitely do not remember anything about the games 3&4 that have been complained about.

My logical reasoning had 25 and 26 questions. I remember something about honey bees but everything else was a blur. Felt like the one with 26 questions was abnormally haerd and 25 qwas normal. Probably sucked at both of these . I can feel it.

So what is the consensus about us LSAT vs France LSAT.

Is it really far for lsac to be releasing two different tests?

ddion8206 wrote:I can't really remember the whole game but it had to do with four employees with an assignment of offices. Each ranked the office they wanted in order of preference. WXYZ. Obviously not all of the employees could get the office they wanted and from there the questions followed. Hopefully I don't sound like an idiot but I had not encountered a problem like this before. However, I guess it could be a grouping linear game. BUT IDK MY BRAIN IS FRIED.

That one was annoying, I felt as though it was a grouping game as well
