hello, my name is Yit,
I have a question, I'm self-study and I'm following the study plan of the powerscore (4 months). however, I only have the 6 books of the powerscore the bibles and the workbooks. I'm planning on getting the pretest book as well, but that is it. Looking through the study plan I see they use several books that I don't have, my question is can I follow this study plan or other where I can just use the books I mentioned above??
Thank you.

Hi Yit,

Each study plan is a guide and outline, but you can shape it to your individual needs. It sounds like you are missing the Question Type Training books. These books contain questions from the LSAT, categorized and grouped by by question type, passage type, and game type. You will be able to get all of these questions from prep tests, but it won't be categorized. It can be very helpful to do one question type again and again, so you can internalize the concepts. It's like if you play an instrument - rather than playing through a whole song again and again, you might choose to focus on one particular part of the song and perfect it. Pretty soon, you've perfected each part and can play the whole song beautifully!

However, to answer your question - you can use this study guide with the books you have, although we designed the course with the Question Type Training books in mind. Practice on specific question types is a major feature of each plan, because you have to regularly apply the methods you learn in order to become as fast and efficient as possible with them. Keep in mind that the Bibles and Workbooks teach you skills - but you will have to practice your new skills, so that you can pull them out easily on test day! However, if you don't have these books, you could choose to focus on that question type in a few practice tests.

Good luck, and keep using the Forum! It's a great resource.
