Timing (Watch)

I am having a some trouble with the way to approach timing on my practice tests. I usually come down to the last second in all sections (especially LG). I usually can finish but may have to guess on the last couple. I can do this pretty easily with a digital timer on the virtual proctor but it becomes more challenging with a LSAT approved watch. What is the best way to attack this? Should I write down the exact minute and second the section ends down on my test? Thanks

The answer to this question depends upon whether we're talking about paper or digital exams.

The following applies to a paper exam:

Given the strict requirement of allowing only an analog wristwatch, my advice would be to try and teach yourself to quickly set the watch for 12:00 and use that as a baseline for each section, only starting the watch when the proctor says to begin the section. For a digital exam:

The test will be given on software running on Microsoft Surface tablets that has a built-in section timer, so as long as the tablet is functioning correctly this shouldn't be an issue. Given that July is the last paper LSAT that will be given, and that only half of the students will be taking the paper version while the other half deal with the digital version, please take the time to get acquainted with the digital layout here and here.
