Hi there,

As of now, I will be taking the August test. Given that all the tests are becoming flex tests, I don't know whether to prepare for the LSAT by taking the regular PTs or the flex PTs. Any thoughts? I know it is still early to tell whether August will be flex or not but given the circumstances I don't think it's unlikely.

Hi claudiagarin,

Good question! LSAC hasn't announced yet if the August test will be Flex, and they haven't announced a date by which they will make that decision. Based on previous Flex decisions, they will probably make an announcement one way or the other by late this month or early July. Since the August test isn't until the end of the month, that should give you 6-8 weeks to study knowing the type of test you will have. I'd recommend saving most of the Flex exams until after you know if it will be a Flex test. If it will be, you'll want to make sure you are studying with the Flex exams as the date gets closer. If it will be a standard administration, you will already be studying with the regular version. At most, I'd recommend taking one Flex practice test now to get a feel for what it would be like, and then hold until the announcement.

Hope that helps!
Rachael
