Should I file a complaint with the LSAC?

Long story short, during my LSAT flex, I chatted my proctor in the minute before the RC section to confirm that Command-F was allowed so that he wouldn't interrupt me. He said that it was not allowed. When my section started, I requested that the exam be paused to discuss this issue. He said that he cannot pause the exam, despite there being an issue that was not resolved. After some back and forth, I was able to point him to the direction that allowed Command-F. Unfortunately, by this time, I lost about 5 minutes (which is quite a bit of time), causing me to rush through the last portion.

Thoughts? I really feel that this was unfair and caused a decent good score drop and that I should file a complaint. Not too sure where to start though.

I guess you could complain and I think they might let you cancel your score and take it again (if you contact them right away). However, We didn't know ctrl-F was going to be allowed until recently, so it's not like we prepared with it in mind (I didn't use it at all). And if you knew for a fact that it was allowed (and it seems you did know, since you argued for it), why did you bother asking your proctor? Seems like you just wasted your own time. But I do think LSAC will allow you to cancel and retake, based on what I've heard they did for students last time.

Yea honestly, it was a mistake on my part in hindsight. In my mind, I wanted to ask just to be 100% sure that nothing changed last minute and so that I wasn't interrupted during the exam/gotten scores cancelled over the "find" function since this proctor wanted to check every corner of my room and even my glasses.

Sorry you had an issue with your proctor during the Flex! You are, of course, welcome to file a complaint, but I can't say for sure what LSAC's response will be. You can choose to cancel your score whether or not you file a complaint, which it sounds like you may want to do if you lost significant time on the RC section. You only have a few days to take either of these actions so you'll need to make your decision quickly.
