Need an advice

Hello !

I would really love to increase my score by 5 points by July. Anyway, I was wondering how I should make the most out of these 4 remaining weeks. Would it be beneficial to go over the lessons again and drill problems again? Or should I focus on taking a couple preptests a week and blind reviewing them? What would make the most sense? Has anyone done this? Any advice tips etc? My strongest section is my LR and my weakest is probably LG and RC.

Hi Alex,

I generally recommend a balance of review of weaknesses and practice tests. Ideally, you'd be taking 2-3 practice tests a week with alternating days of test review/concept review. This provides a good balance of working new questions and making sure that your understanding of the concepts is strong. Blind review is a great way to review the tests---it gives you the most bang for your study buck in that you get a chance to see how you do with the pressure of timing, and also how well you understand the material even without time pressure.

Struggling with the RC and LG sections often indicates that you need to play with your timing strategy a bit. Are you spending too much time on game set-ups or making incorrect inferences by rushing through? Are you allowing yourself to get bogged down in one complex game, not leaving enough time for the rest of the section? In reading comp, are you doing so much passage diagramming that you can't quickly find the information you need, or are you rushing through the passage too quickly? Figuring out how to best use your time in the RC and LG sections can take a bit more tweaking. As part of your blind review, you should be tracking how you are doing those sections, and where you are spending/not spending your time.
