I know we obviously can't rip up our booklets on test day for RC (to have the passage right next to the questions) or LG. So my question is for the LG section, how can I avoid wasting time when there is only one question next to the game scenario and a ton of extra space? I ask this because I like being able to reference back to my main diagram and inferences when attacking the questions, and sometimes have to quickly re draw them on the next page, or just flip back and forth, both of which waste time. I know there's really no right answer to this one, just figured I'd see what you guys thought. Thanks!

Hi ccampise,

Thanks for your question! I can tell you are definitely on the ball to be thinking about issues such as these this far in advance of the test!

To start, don't be tricked into thinking that because two pages are now provided for each game that you actually need all of that space. The trend has been for the scenario and rules plus one question to be on the first page, while the rest of the questions are on the second page. The first question of a game, generally, is the easiest, so you are more likely to be scanning back and forth to your setup and the rules on the second and subsequent questions. Because of this, if you are looking to minimize looking back and forth at different pages, I would recommend putting your finalized setup on the second page, where most of the questions are located. Of course, that's just one opinion, and certainly reasonable minds could differ.

For Reading Comprehension, having to flip back and forth typically is not an issue, with the passage being on the left-hand page and the majority of the questions being on the right.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance!

Thanks,

Ron
