Hi,

I'm writing to ask for advice on which materials to purchase in order to prepare for the December 6th 2014 LSAT because I obtained 150 on the September 2014 LSAT, the only test on my record.

Preparation for September 2014 LSAT
I had first purchased the "LSAT Trilogy Practice Pack" and had gone through all of it except for the "Logical Reasoning Bible Workbook". Then, I took the PowerScore Full-Length LSAT Course which ended just before the June 2014 LSAT. I went through (and reviewed) all questions from the course except for: questions in lessons 11, 12, and any questions not covered in class reviews of the tests.

Weakness
I have most trouble with Logic Games because I have never completed more than two Logic Games in 35 minutes, nonetheless, I'd like to improve in all sections. I can study full time.

Material to Purchase for Dec. 6th LSAT
Could I purchase explanations of the four tests in the "Tests One Through Four" book?
Also, which/how many books from the "Test and Question Explanations" section should I purchase and get through before the December 6th, 2014 LSAT?

Thank you

Hi Alphabeta,

If it helps you to have access to visual breakdowns of the games, you might want the Powerscore Games Bible (it sounds like you do). Otherwise in terms of practice material, I would say the biggest priority is to just keep working with practice tests.

On the games, it sounds like the issue may be less about practice material, and more about getting some help with technique. Some of that can be absorbed from print models and guides (which again, the Games Bible is good for) -- but if that's still not getting you there, and you can, in your shoes I would want a tutor to help you diagnose what's tripping you up. If that's not affordable though, see if you can find an LSAT study group. Observing how other people work through the games may give you some useful guidance.

Good luck!
Beth
