Hi barrettmelissa82,
Our approach to Parallel Reasoning questions is explained in detail in the Logical Reasoning Bible, as well as in our course materials. Essentially, these questions ask you to understand the structure of the argument and replicate that structure with the correct answer choice. A few tips:
1. Make sure the language in the answer choice you pick matches the language in the conclusion (same strength, level of probability, etc.).
2. Make sure the premises support the conclusion in the same way as they do in the stimulus.
3. If the argument is flawed, you need to understand why it's flawed and come up with an answer that contains the same exact flaw.
4. If you can formulate the argument in more abstract terms, this provides a wonderful filter through which to evaluate each answer choice.
These tips are the backbone of the Parallel Reasoning Elemental Attack that we describe in our publications. If you have any specific concerns involving Parallel Reasoning questions or our method of approach, feel free to share them with us here.
Thanks!
