Hi,

Every time I try to watch one of the virtual courses on here Elluminate program stops downloading right before the end. How can I fix that?

Thanks!

Hey moshe - thanks for the message. I've never heard of that before, but with some more info I may be able to help you out (and if I can't, Elluminate/Blackboard have a great tech support staff that would be happy to help, as well). Can you tell me a few things? Are these the virtual modules on the student center? Have you ever been able to access them successfully in the past (is this a new issue, that is)? What kind of computer and operating system are you using? And, finally, are you getting any specific messages when you attempt to view the archives? Thanks!

Yup, student center.

On my old laptop, they worked.

No messages, it just stops loading right before the end, and the program that makes it work just doesn't finish loading.

Hmmm, clearly something with the new computer then. Most likely this is a Permissions issue where the Java file downloads but doesn't have permission to run/launch.

Since it's computer-specific (or OS-specific), your best bet is to contact Elluminate/Blackboard directly and give them the details about your setup. Go to http://support.blackboardcollaborate.co ... estionID=1 and launch a Live Chat. The Product Suite is Elluminate v10.

Let me know if that clears things up!

Thanks

They solved it for me.

Thanks, Jon!

If anyone has an issue like mine in the future, the issue was that Java 7 and Java FX aren't compatible with Elluminate.
