So,

I was pting way above what I scored, But bombed and got a 148. Considering the april online course. If I do prep full time starting in March for the June test, is 10-12 points of an increase attainable?

My first score was a 141. So I increased 7 points in about a month. I was pting at 158.

Any input would be great.

Hey kayano,

Thanks for the question and welcome to the Forum! It's always tough to predict with certainty just how much someone will improve, so let me put it in terms that I'm more comfortable with and that should still give you a great deal of confidence: it is ENTIRELY realistic to gain another 10-12 points on your most recent score, especially if you dedicate yourself to a comprehensive course of study!

First, you've already shown that you have the potential for a score in the high 150s, since that's where your practice tests were, so there's no reason to think you can't perform at that level or higher on the real thing. The key is consistency!

Second, our courses see an average increase of around 12 points, and are so thorough and meticulous in how they prepare you that your practice tests scores pre-LSAT are extremely likely to be repeated, if not improved on, come test day. You'll spend months training to do just that! So now it's simply a matter of establishing your fundamentals, honing your skills, and immersing yourself in enough real test content attacked with the best possible methodology to push you to your full potential.

So I think you're absolutely on the right track and I'm particularly happy to hear you're eyeing our Live Online courses—they're amazing when you consider all that you get (two instructors, recordings of every lesson for continued review, every real LSAT question in existence, a homework hotline you can call 5 days a week for live assistance, and a ton more)—now you just need to commit yourself fully to the journey and keep working towards your goals! You'll be there before you know it :)

Fantastic! One last brief piece of advice then: once you have a class picked out, try to sign up as soon as you can! We're serious about keeping class sizes relatively small so that everyone can get a lot of personal attention, but that means classes occasionally fill up and get closed to further enrollment...don't wait too long and risk that happening.

(Note: hitting an enrollment ceiling is most common with the first few, and last few, scheduled classes, so if you're looking at a class more in the middle, Spring V say, then you should be fine)

I think you're really going to love the online course though and I'm excited to hear about your progress!

Thanks for the advice!

Question, do we receive a copy of the bibles? I was going to purchase the last one I needed, which is LR and start going through it this month.

Cheers

You don't get a physical copy of the three Bibles with the course, primarily because the course materials themselves include a large portion of the Bible text arranged in a structured, lesson-by-lesson format!

Essentially a lot of the conceptual overviews you'll encounter in the course mirror similar discussions in the Bibles, the idea being that the Bibles are often slightly more comprehensive in print, whereas the course is much more comprehensive in supplemental discussions with instructors, additional virtual modules, tons of drills, thousands of LSAT questions, around 30 full practice tests, and so on.

So some people choose to purchase the Bibles as an "intro" of sorts before their course begins, ensuring that they're comfortable with the foundational ideas of the first several lessons, but it's not necessary: our courses are designed to be all-inclusive, taking complete novices with zero experience/exposure to expert status by test day :)
