Complete Question Explanation
(The complete setup for this game can be found here: lsat/viewtopic.php?f=282&t=7598)

The correct answer choice is (B)

If H is not featured on day 7, then only Template #4 applies:

G4-Q22-d1.png

As days 2 and 6 have established pairs of puppies and kittens that are different, answer choice (B) is the correct answer.

Hi there, thank you for helping me out!

Oct 2000 LSAT,Q22.

Q22 assumes when H is NOT on day 7. So according to one of the possibilities:

K: _ H _ H _ H _
P: G _ _ _ _ _ N
1 2 3 4 5 6 7

Could you tell me whether this set up is right? If it is right, then WHY Q22's answer is B? According to my set up, both day 2 and day 6's kittens are H, this violates the stimulus.

Thank you very much!!

Hello, Sherry,

For #22, your setup is indeed correct. But we know that H and R can never be on the same day together, so that tells us that the Day 2 dog must be N (can't be G because it's next to a G, can't be R), and the Day 6 Dog must be G (can't be N because it's next to an N, can't be R). So that's why B is correct.

Hope that helps,
Lucas Moreau
