Hi,

I am having trouble understanding the problem. It says (b) is the correct answer, but I'm not sure how that came about.

I drafted that:
inviting & functional ---> unobtrusive
contrapositive:
(not) unobtrusive ---> (not) inviting or (not) functional

So, was I to understand that based on the contrapositive that answer (b) falls correctly, therefore is the correct answer? As the stimulus states, "producing buildings that are 'not functional' for public use," would be replaced by "not unobtrusive"

Thanks.

Hi sun,

Thanks for the question. This is a challenging problem, and one that has come up before. My colleague Jon Denning wrote an extensive explanation of this question, over at http://forum.powerscore.com/lsat/viewto ... sive#p8703.

Please take a look at that and let us know if it helps. Thanks!
