Hello All,

I have two questions about two different games that I encountered last night and I was a little confused at how to attack them.

Game #3: June 1992 Questions 1-6

[Text Removed due to Copyright considerations]

I managed to produce a set up and the not laws and answer the first question correctly. However, I was very confused with that wording and felt that it would be better to get clarity. It seems that the information in all caps above is ore or less indicating how the base of the setup is to be written (A B C D E). Is this right?

Also, the numerical distribution seems to be very flexible here. For example, he receives the same letter grade in more than just one course i.e. (E in Russian and history would necessarily mean a D in both Italian and Economics ((this question specifically stated that the grade in economics was the same as Italian.))

Is this a common occurrence?

Question #2 : Game #5: June 1993 Questions 1-5

The random U and H-Z seem to be giving me the most problems.

Does the H-Z mean that they cannot be scheduled on the same day? I'm inclined to say that it's possible, as long as H goes before Z.

The only real laws/ not-laws that I have in my diagram are that Z cannot go on Monday, either K or O will always go on Tuesday, and I must go on Thursday.

Is this an optimal set-up or did I miss something because the questions seem too challenging for me to have and optimal set up.

Thank you for your help!

Frank

Hi Frank!

Welcome to the Forum. The best place to post questions for a specific game are in the subforums. That way you'll get the benefit of others who have asked questions before you, and it will be easier for others looking for help on the specific game. You also won't need to rewrite the game in the thread. You'll go to Logic Games -> Test Date -> Game #. There, you'll find threads for Setup and Rule Diagrams and threads for each specific question. If there hasn't been a thread created yet, you can start one and we will see it!

I have posted responses in the threads:

June 1992 - John's Grades
June 1993 - Gymnastic Schedule
