For a testing to see if a hypothetical is valid (in group games, specifically), is it sufficient to test the initial rules?

Thanks!

Hello EMD,

It sounds like that would make sense for any game, unless new rules have somehow been added, or old rules have been suspended in a particular problem.
E.g., if there's a rule "All zombies eat alligators", and a problem tells you that Fred is a zombie, the hypothetical (or question) of whether Fred eats alligators should be solvable by looking at the rule mentioned above. But if a question suspends the rule that all z's eat a's, then you may need additional information about Fred to see what he eats, rather than just relying on his being a zombie.

Hope this helps,
David
