How do you work questions that ask you to either substitute the rule or eliminate the rule?

Hello, crottman,

These are some of the most difficult Games questions. I'm not surprised you asked about them in particular.

Unfortunately, there is rarely a fast way to go about substitution or suspension Local questions. An important thing to keep in mind is that you should not use your main diagram to solve these questions. Your main diagram is the sum of not just the rules, but inferences that build upon those rules. You're far better off creating a new diagram from what rules you have left, rather than trying to determine exactly how removing or substituting a rule would alter the main diagram.
