Now that the December 2015 LSAT scores has been released, can someone please explain how to do Game #3?

Follow up: what are the chances another pattern game shows up on the February LSAT?

Hey,

Thanks for your question! We know better than to predict what the LSAT will do in the future, but we've been seeing quite a few "older" game types pop up in recent tests. Pattern games are having a comeback (see June 2010 test also), and so are circular games (one of the more recent February tests had a circular game). So, you should be prepared for anything. Dave Killoran wrote on this topic a few months ago, so check out his blog post here:

Welcome to the LSAT Casino

As far as Game 3 from the December 2015 test is concerned, Jon just finished a blog post explaining our approach. Check it out:

Have fun with it! :-)

Thanks! Do you have any videos explaining pattern and/or circular games?

Hi T,

We do, but they are all in our courses, and come with course purchase. There is a lengthy discussion in the Logic Games Bible as well.

Thanks!

We have extensive ones in our courses in the Online Student Center for both Pattern and Circular, and they're super helpful! But they use real Pattern and Circular Games to demonstrate how to solve them, so we can't make them publicly/freely available, unfortunately.

But in addition to the two great posts to which Dave linked, there were also two discussions of Pattern Games following their reappearance on the June 2014 LSAT:

http://blog.powerscore.com/lsat/pattern ... trike-back

We've also got a post on Circular Games:

Those don't come close to the level of detail and insight you'd get from the materials in our courses, but they're a good place to start!
