There are a few problems with answer choice (A). First, we don't know about the amount of high-fat food the men and women in that answer choice, so it's not clear how it would impact the argument. Secondly, our conclusion---the mistake made---was in trying to claim that because wine could mitigate a high fat diet in one population, using such a method in another population would increase their overall health. We only know about heart disease, not overall health.
