Question, I got this right but curious to know how to interpret E. Since the sentence ambiguity inspires interpretation is a topic sentence, does E not provide a definition of that?

Hi saiffshaikhh!

I wouldn't say that answer choice (E) provides a definition of the first sentence--or perhaps you might need to explain a bit more what you mean by that. Answer choice (E) describes the first sentence as "set[ting] out a difficulty the argument is intended to solve." For an answer choice like that to be a contender, I would almost expect something like a paradox to be resolved in the stimulus. However, that's not how the first sentence functions here. Rather, the first sentence is presented as a view, and then the second sentence supports it by way of examples.
