Hi,

It seems that some of the wording confused me on this question. For the last sentence, I thought that alternative medicine not having any effects meant that the medicine was good. Does not having any effects here mean it did not slow or prevent the illness? I'm thinking about your Magic Johnson example. I chose C because I thought that alternative medicine not having any effects meant that it was superior to orthodox medicine.

No effect means that it did nothing, ericsilvagomez. No harm, but also no benefit. That might be better than something that's harmful, but not better than something else that is also ineffective, and worse than something that's beneficial.
