Your two statements are correctly stated—but did you see the initial post in this thread? These statements and the logic of the problem are all explained up there.

Answer choice (E) didn't need to mention the sufficient because it's mentioned right in the second sentence of the stimulus: "the best-selling publications in most university bookstores would not be frivolous ones like TV Today and Gossip Review." That equates to "Frivolous Bestsellers."

I'm still a little bit confused. The stimulus says " However, in most universities bookstores the only publication that sells better than gossip review is tv today."

I thought the term "better" meant that T.V. Today is ahead of Gossip review in terms of sales. How does the term "better" translate into being a best -seller?

Dave base on your explanation the sufficient is being triggered in the stimulus which requires the necessary condition to occur making E the right answer. Is correct?

If the ONLY thing selling better than Gossip Review is TV Today, then nothing can possibly be selling better than TV Today, oadeboy1. TV Today HAS to be the best selling publication in those university bookstores, with Gossip Review being the second-best seller.

I think you are misunderstanding what Dave is saying about the triggering of the conditions. In the stimulus we see that the necessary condition does not occur, as you diagrammed earlier in this thread. Therefore, what must be true is that the sufficient condition cannot occur. That's answer E - the sufficient condition not occurring at least somewhere.
