AC E is confusing as "analyzing" is paralleled with "shed light on". Is this because analyzing is needed for shedding light, so AC E is correct?

Thank you

Hey Dancing,

Answer choice (E) refers to the "analytical tool" of gender - it basically says that passage B shows how gender can shed light on politics and culture.

The phrase "analytical tool" means a lens through which you can consider something. So you can examine politics through a gendered or an economic lens, for example, and yeild different insights.

Hope that helps!
