This may be a silly question, but recently I have come across much debate over whether there should be one or two spaces after a period. Which is the case, or does it matter at all?

Hi TXPV,

Good news: it doesn't matter :) I would use one or two depending on how long your statement is. If you need more space, make it one. If you need to lengthen it, use two. If you are indifferent, one is becoming the new standard.

I think that covers it, but if not, just let me know. Thanks!
