Parental Info on FAFSA

Hi there

I'm hoping someone here can shed light on whether or not I'd need to provide my parents' financial info for FAFSA.

I'll be 28 years old in October and am in no way financially dependent on either of my parents, nor are they comfortable with providing me with their personal financial information.

That said, I definitely do want to make sure I get whatever student aid I can receive, so I'd appreciate any advice on how to handle this

Hi Pianoless,

The financial application aspect is not something we specialize in so take this with that in mind, but FAFSA forms asking for parental info are typically for undergraduates. For grad students who are fully independent, just put N/A as their income won't affect your payments.
