Waitlisted to Dream School

Hello,

Today I received an email from my dream school placing me on the waitlist. I then got another email from the dean requesting to have a zoom call to chat about my waitlist position. I'm curious to know what topics we will likely discuss and how I can prepare for this call.

Hi Prelaw,

Congrats on getting on the WL at your dream school, and then on securing an interview! The questions are often like a job interview, and they will ask you why you want to be a lawyer, why their school is top choice, what makes you different than other applicants, what strengths and weaknesses you have, and so on. Your prep should be about your law career thoughts, your school choices, and what you can offer to the legal and school community. Those will be the base and then they can ask whatever else strikes their fancy

Every school is different, of course, but approach it as if they could ask you anything and hopefully you nail it!
