I'm a sophomore in highschool and I'm very interested in going on to law school. What are some classes I would need to take that would look good for a law school? I'm currently taking algebra 2, english 10, civics and economics and chemistry. My gpa is 3.0, I'm planning on getting it to 3.5 atleast.

Hi,

For the most part, law schools won't look at high school transcripts, so what you take is really flexible. But in building the foundation for the skills you'll need as a law student, it's very helpful to take a speech and debate class, in high school, and to give the debate team a try (if available) in high school or college. In addition, English courses should be a heavy priority. Learning to write well is one of the best investments you can make at this stage.

Good luck!
Beth
