Hi winter,
While I understand and sympathize with your frustration, I don't expect that you need to worry about any law school "ghosting" you. The only way I can imagine that you wouldn't hear back from a law school is if there was some sort of computer/email error, which would be very unlikely.
While I'm unaware of any actual "rule" about this, it is in every law school's interest (and important for their reputation) to be professional and respectful toward every applicant. (Even rejection letters are polite.)
Often decisions about waitlists are made about 1-2 weeks after deposits are due, which is often April 15 or May 1. I'd expect that you would hear from your schools around that time if not sooner. If you haven't heard anything by that point, I think that an email or call to the admissions office is reasonable. Also, you can periodically (perhaps once every 8 weeks) check in with the law schools to update them of any changes in your application or situation, but be careful not to bother them too often. They are very busy and don't appreciate being repeatedly pestered.
Here is a link to a list of law school deposit dates for your reference.

And if you do get waitlisted anywhere, the waiting can go on right up until orientation day, so patience will be key.
