Hello,

I was wondering, do you think prior to law school i should take some college courses through my community college to prepare me for law school. Some of the courses include Legal Writing, Intro. Law & Legal Profession, Civil Litigation ,Family Law and Law Office Management

And/or read books and articles online about 1l year and how to succeed in it.

Would i be a step ahead in the game in doing this? I think it may be worth the investment and especially considering the difficulty of law school, it may help to have some foundational knowledge instead of going straight into law school after senior year of UG

Hey Bronco,

We're actually big advocates of preparing for law school itself, mainly because your first year grades have a massive impact on job opportunities, and because law school itself is a different experience than most people expect. Because of this, we created a course called 1L Advantage, which is a prep course for law school that features actual law professors telling you what you need to know before you begin. The course info is over at http://www.powerscore.com/1ladvantage/ if you want to check it out.

Please let me know if that helps. Thanks!
