My GPA is right at the medium, but my LSAT score is 4 points below the medium on my school choice. On the LSAC UGPA and LSAT Score Search it shows I have a 68% - 85% chance of getting accepted. Are those numbers accurate? And does my LSAT being a little below but my GPA right at the medium render my chances? Would apply early help my chances at all?

Thanks for any feedback!

Hey Johnny,

Thanks for your question! Generally speaking, the 25th/75th percentile for the GPA/LSAT combo is a more valuable metric than the medians. That said, I'm a bit surprised by the results of the LSAC UGPA/LSAT calculator: based on the admission outcome of applicants like yourself, it predicts a 68%-85% chance of admission despite an LSAT that is 4 points below their median. I ran a few similar hypothetical scenarios for various T1 schools and I couldn't reproduce such a high probability at any of these schools. Are you sure you read that right? Feel free to PM me and tell me which school you're considering.

Thanks!
