Hi Snomen,

Answer choice (E) talks about a new approach. There's no new approach discussed in the stimulus. There's new information about how a process works, but there's no new system or new way of handling something described. It's been the way the body has always handled osmoregulation. The passage just provides the information describing our new understanding of how osmoregulation works, not a new method of osmoregulation itself.
