I dont understand why E is wrong. if Azula doesnt do as well in treeated soil as in natural soil, wouldnt the argument fall apart? The argument says that azalea flourish in acidic soil, but doesnt mention what happens to them in a soil that is not acidic to start with, but is artificially mixed with other soils, as is the case with treated soil

The argument does not require any assumption about how well azaleas do beyond flourishing. It's possible that they flourish in both kinds of soil, but do slightly better in naturally acidic soil. That doesn't destroy the argument, so answer choice (E) does not have to be assumed.
