Hi grunerlokka,

Our stimulus has the valid reasoning of a statement and its contrapositive.

Old evidence→ ~ Proven
Proven → ~ Old evidence

That's what we see in the correct answer choice (B).

Take train → ~Nantes in morning
In Nantes in morning → ~Not take train

Answer choice (A) is different. It's a conditional statement, and a situation that fits into that conditional.

Old list→ ~Buy house within the last year
Smith old list  Smith ~buy house within the last year.

Hope that helps!
Rachael
