You're missing the point that both Nikki and I were making. "Otherwise" means "if the sufficient condition does not occur". It has nothing to do with negating the necessary condition. "Bored" is not the negation of "fun" - it's a different necessary condition that occurs when the original sufficient condition "go to a bar" is negated. Likewise, O7 is not the negation of O3 - it is a different necessary condition that occurs when the original sufficient condition "J1" is negated.

"Otherwise" means that the original sufficient condition does not occur. It means "if not".
