The key difference is that in this game you know the variables to be used. No matter which theater they are on, the films GMOPSU will be shown. We don't have groups to make; there's no selection of movies to be shown. We are just trying to put them in order on two different screens.
The witness game, on the other hand, DOES have a mystery about the variables to be used. One of those investigators goes twice. So instead of knowing that we have QRS in some order, we have QRS + an extra one of those in some order. Therefore, like a typical grouping linear game, we first have to figure out who is in (who is the double) before we try to order them. We don't have that step here.
