Check out Shannon's response to that very question earlier in this thread, nshakfeh! C isn't parallel because it isn't based on a claim that Susan is doing something that she says should not be done; it's based on a claim that Susan's experience suggests that she may be incorrect. For C to work, if would have to tell a very different story; like "Susan says it isn't safe and nobody should do it, but she keeps going rock climbing, so I can't accept her claim."
