Hello,

I am registered in your online virtual course (Sept 27-Nov22) and am writing the LSAT on December 3rd. I have taken a leave from my work until the test and will dedicate all of my time from now on towards preparing for the LSAT as I only want to write it once (I also have a bit of anxiety around it as my undergraduate degrees did not require me to write multiple choice tests as they were paper-based.. I also have always had difficulty with math and that makes me nervous for the logic games..). I was thinking of supplementing the lesson homework with writing a full, timed LSAT each week... Do you think this is a good idea and is there anything else you might suggest for me to do to maximise my studying and complement the coursework? While I do not want to burn out, I do want to ensure that I am doing as much as possible to complement what I am learning in class and homework (the class is great by the way!)

I have great difficulty with logic games and have barely gotten into them yet but know that that will be my biggest challenge ...

Many thanks in advance!

Thanks for the question - I'd encourage you to hold off on taking full practice tests until you're a bit deeper into the course (lesson 3 or 4 at least), but after that a test or two per week should prove to be extremely helpful. Just make sure you allow adequate time for a thorough review of your performance, as you've got to fully understand what you're doing right and wrong if you want to continue to improve.

Your Online Student Center also contains a wealth of additional resources--homework, problem sets, virtual modules on supplementary concepts/question types--that are paired to each lesson in the course and that will allow you to further your understanding outside of class.

Finally, your instructors will make specific suggestions about when to take tests and what to review between lessons, so pay careful attention to the advice that they give during class.

Hope this helps!

Jon
