Congrats to those who took the June LSAT today! Here's a thread where you can post your comments and questions about the exam, and engage with fellow test takers and even some PowerScore instructors!

To that end, we want to share with you in advance the topics we can discuss, and some things to avoid.

It's fine to talk about the section order of your test. For example, it would be great if you let us know: "I had two Logical Reasoning sections, then two Games sections, and then finished up with Reading Comprehension (LR-LR-LG-LG-RC)." We'd also love to hear your thoughts on the difficulty of the each section, including the games and the passages. For example, after the October 2013 test, folks were discussing the difficulty of the “Prions” Reading Comprehension passage.

You can also talk about the general subjects of the games and the passages you encountered. So, for example, you could say "I had a game about a concert promoter scheduling six bands at a concert, a game in which at least four of eight employees are selected for a research team, a game about five movies shown on three screens, and a game with five lectures on birds in two possible locations." You can even mention the game type, e.g., Linear Setup or Grouping. The same goes for reading comprehension, in terms of the basic passage subject, e.g., “Prions” or “Happiness and Wealth.”

The guiding principle for our conversation here is that we don't want to give other people an unfair advantage on the test. There are some circumstances in which some folks may take the LSAT later than others. If details about specific test questions were to show up on the internet before those people take the LSAT (like which answers were right or wrong), then they would have an advantage over those who took the test earlier. Their advance knowledge could hurt your chances to get into the school of your choice, and so it's important to avoid sharing those kinds of details.

We look forward to a great afternoon/evening of conversation! So, how'd it go?!

Because we ARE allowed to post general info on the test, I'll start with some RC info:

..... The RC section with the high art and CFCs/ozone was REAL.

..... African Weaving, Fish Farms, and comparative reading about chemistry/physics were NOT real.

If you remember other LG or RC topics, you are allowed to post those, as well as your section order.

More in a bit. thanks!

Here's some info on how to recognize the Experimental: https://www.powerscore.com/lsat/help/experimental.cfm

What was your section order? That's the starting point.

Thanks!

I had 1 Logic Games, 1 Logic Reasoning, 1 Logic Games, 1 Reading Comprehension and 1 Logic Reasoning.

I felt pretty good about it over all... the only thing I might focus on (if I need to take it again) is to do more Logic Reasoning Drills just to calm down my nerves more, it would help to manage the time. But I was able to answer all the questions with the time allotted. Not sure I would have done as well if I had not enrolled in Powerscore!

Nice, that's great to hear! Sounds like you felt pretty good about the test, and nothing majorly bad happened. For a pressure test like the LSAT, that's actually a big victory!

The goal is to make your reactions and responses second nature, so practice helps with that. It can also help to do a few warmup questions before the test starts, just to get the wheels moving. If you want to talk more about this at any time, just let me know—I'm happy to help!

My test had sections in this order: LG, LR, RC, LG, LR. The second LG section contained the bicycle manufacturing game and I did not feel as strong on that games section so I'm glad to hear it was the experimental section. Overall I felt pretty good on all the real sections, but I am on the fence about whether I should cancel my score or not. At this point I have decided that I want to take the September test because I am confident that with more practice I will be able to improve my score. However, I do not know enough to determine if a canceled score will be more detrimental than a first score potentially 7-9 points lower than my second. Is there a clear-cut way to solve my issue?
