Consequently, answer choice (B) is correct. Note that the Not Laws also eliminate all four incorrect answer choices.

Couldn't S have graduated in 93 (although she could have purchased her car only in 92 or 91)?

S could absolutely have graduated in 93, hbg2112, but that's not what this question is asking. It's asking what could happen in 95, the last slot in our linear base, and only two things can happen that year - T buys a car, or R buys a car (or both of them do).

If you look at the main setup explanation for this game, you'll see we have two templates, one in which R and S graduate together in 92 and another in which they both graduate in 93. Those are the only options for their graduations. That explanation can be found here:
