I do not understand why B is a wrong answer. If the people who occupied the Eurasian area closest to North America were nomadic, then it is possible that no human-made projectile was found in that part of Eurasia closest to North America. It is also possible that the nomadic people threw the projectile on the mastadon. Can you please clarify why B is wrong?

Is A correct because it implies that projectile was made by people who are not from Eurasia at all?

The argument's conclusion is that the first Eurasian settlers in North America must not have come from the parts of Eurasia closest to America. That's because the projectile on the mastodon isn't like any other projectile in the parts of Eurasia closest to America.

Answer choice (A) says that the projectile wasn't like any used anywhere in Eurasia during the period we care about. This weakens the conclusion: as you said, the projectile couldn't have come from Eurasia at all, and must have come from somewhere else.

Answer choice (B) simply says that the near-North America Eurasians were nomadic. But if they didn't have the same type of projectile, who cares? They can go anywhere they want, but they don't have the type of projectile we care about.
