Confused

General questions relating to the LSAT Logic Games.

Hi! I'm working in the powerscore books for logic games. In the logic game book it says that if a rule is (for example) "if W is in place 4 then X must be in place 7" the rule should not be read also if X is in 7 then W is in 4. Could you explain this to me? I've always thought that the opposite must be true for the rule to work. I totally made the example up so I'm not sure of a game with that as a rule.

Hi H,

What you are talking about is a flaw known as a Mistaken Reversal, and on page 53, in the section titled Conditional Rules I go into detail about why that's an error. When you get a chance, take a look at that and let me know if it helps make that clearer.
