Is there any information on how a school waving your application fee (not for economic reasons) impacts your chances of getting into that school? Does it mean you have a better chance or does it have little meaning?

Hi A,

Good question! It actually has no meaning, unfortunately. Most schools use those fee waivers to jack up their applicant numbers, and while some of those do get admitted, it also allows them to reject many others. So, it's not an indication that they think you are getting in or that you have a special advantage in the process :(
