I have completed the MBT questions of the LRBTT book and I do not seem to be getting better at the question type(50% on the diagnostic, 53% in the TT book). I am really concerned by this. I am not sure if I should solely focus on these type of questions or continue to move forward as I have been doing. Any insight on how to proceed?

I would suggest moving on to other question types, MannyH, to give yourself a break. My personal favorite, to build a healthy foundation for many other question types, is Flaw in the Reasoning. Knowing the many things that can go wrong can help you with a LOT of other question types! It may also help you when you return to MBT questions, because you may become more aware of the flaws you yourself are conducting as you prephrase and as you select answers. When you are better able to spot an unwarranted assumption by an LSAT author, you will become more likely to avoid such unwarranted assumptions in your own process! That's what tends to go wrong when students are struggling with MBT questions - they make too many assumptions not supported by the facts/evidence/premises in the stimulus.

Be sure to take a day off now and again, too! A day of rest and relaxation, with good food and moderate exercise and activities that reduce stress, can do wonders for your mental focus and cognitive function.

Good luck, get yourself a break, then shift gears and try those Flaw questions!

Hi,
I'm a new user of this forum and I'm wondering where the explanations to the LR Question type training book are posted..?
On the book page it says it's on this Forum...maybe I haven't looked hard enough.
Much appreciate it!

Hi oli,

Thanks for the question, and welcome to the forum! Yes, we have many explanations available on our forum, although not all of them (but we're working on getting them all posted! :)).

Explanations on the forum are broken up by test and section. If you're looking for a particular LR question in the Type Training book, please see this list to find out what test that question is from: https://www.powerscore.com/questiontype ... 0Types.pdf. Once you do that, you can check and see if there's an explanation posted on the forum, or post your own question.

As an example, Question 1 in the book is from June 1991, LR1, Question #3, and you can find that on the forum here: lsat/viewtopic.php?t=7402.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any additional questions!

Thanks!

Hi Stephanie,

Thank you! That was very helpful!
However, where on the Powerscore website are all the PDF's of lists of all question type training (LR, LG, RC) answer keys and corresponding real question numbers in real LSAT tests? I would love to have all of them.

Thanks again!
Oli

Hi Oli,

The LG Type Training and RC Type Training have those answer keys included with the book itself. You can find those on pages 121 for LGTT and 195 for RCTT. :)

Thanks!

hi Stephanie,

Thanks for replying to my messages!
what I meant is, where can I find the PDF files that corresponds the answer keys to TT's with the actual what year and what month's LSAT question#'s. It just helps so much navigating through the Forum that way!!
(i don't think I was able to send PM's, if you did receive my message pls ignore this post)

Thank you again!!

Hi Oli,

I made mistakes in my page numbering in my post above, and I think this caused some confusion here. (Sorry about that! I edited my previous reply as well to hopefully alleviate that confusion. :-D )

I meant that the answer key that references the year/test of the TT questions is actually included in the LGTT and RCTT books, rather than being in PDF form:
  • The list that you are looking for is on page 195 for the RCTT book.
  • The list is on page 121 for the LGTT book (page 111 for some older printings.)
Let me know if that helps!

Thanks!
